AN actor who played the hapless vicar in the popular TV series, Dad's Army, will be giving a talk in Ross-on-Wye.

Frank Williams, who is best known for playing the Reverend Timothy Farthing, will be appearing at The Venue as part of the family 'Celebration of the Forties - Vicar of Dad's Army' show that is being brought to the town by Ross Baptist Church.

Mr Williams is making a cameo role in the upcoming Dad's Army film, which will be released in the next few months.

During his talk, he will give a glimpse behind the scenes of the TV series and share stories of the celebrated cast.

He will also be gently reflecting on his Christian faith and Serendipity Swing Band will be performing wartime songs.
