Update on Thursday's rush hour collision in Droitwich
AN elderly woman had to be taken to hospital following a collision during the evening rush hour in Droitwich yesterday.
The 69 year-old woman, was a passenger in a blue Audi A3 which was involved in a collision with a black Ford Focus.
The incident occurred at the junction between St Andrew’s Drive and Worcester Road in the town, at approximately 4.45pm on Thursday, April 16.
An appliance from Droitwich Fire Station attended the scene, removing the woman, who was suffering from back pain. The woman already had pre-existing conditions and she was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital by ambulance.
The drivers of both cars were unhurt in the incident.
