WILLOW expert Susie Early is being welcomed back to Tewkesbury Heritage Centre to teach a hands-on garden willow workshop .

The event, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, offers the opportunity for those taking part to create their very own garden obelisk.

Running from 10am to 1pm, the cost of the workshop is £35 per person, and pre-booking is essential as there are only five spaces remaining.

The entry fee for the workshop will cover the cost of all materials for the 6ft tall wigwam, as well as refreshments including tea and cake.

The heritage centre hosts a variety of children and adult workshops throughout the year and the borough council, which owns and operates the centre, is pleased to see the return of one of its most popular workshops for a fifth year.

Anyone wishing to book a place can phone 01684 855040 or email tewkesburytic@tewkesbury.gov.uk

No previous experience is needed and those taking part can enjoy their hand-made creation in their gardens for many years to come.

Manager of Tewkesbury Heritage Centre Rachel Thatcher said: “We try to offer a wide programme of events at the heritage centre to suit all ages so we are delighted to see return of this popular willow workshop. We only have five spaces remaining so if you would like to be involved make sure you book as soon as you can.”
