PHOTOGRAPHY enthusiasts from around Droitwich Spa are being invited to join up with other keen amateurs for the new season of the town’s Photography Club.

Droitwich Camera Club, which meets every Monday from 8pm at Chawson Barn on New Chawson Lane, is launching its new 2015/2016 season on Monday, September 7, and it will run until mid-May, with a full and varied programme of talks and competitions for local photographers.

The club will receive visiting professional photographers, who will be displaying their work, as well as taking the opportunity to share their expertise, in what aims to be a valuable learning experience for members.

Club members will also be invited to take part in monthly photography outings, and have the chance to take part in monthly competitions along a range of themes.

Previous themes have included ‘After Dark’, ‘Black and White’, and Pictorial Nature’.

The club also enters into competitions against members of other clubs around the region.

Droitwich Camera Club is open to photographers of all ages and abilities, and as well as its planned meeting programme, it also offers a mentor scheme, where the club’s more experienced members provide one-to-one advice to those just starting out.
