A PERSON was taken to hospital after being hit by a train at Shrub Hill rail station on Saturday.

They needed treatment for head and hand injuries following the collision at about 2.45pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed they sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Hazardous Area Response Team.

She added that the patient was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment after suffering hand and head injuries.
