A WOMAN was dragged out of her vehicle and assaulted on a busy Kidderminster road after overtaking another car on the A449.

The incident took place between 5.30pm and 6pm on Sunday, August 23, at the traffic lights on the A449, near to the turn off towards Wolverley.

It is believed the victim, a 22-year-old woman, had been travelling along the A449 and she had overtaken another vehicle that was driving at a lower speed.

At the traffic lights she was approached by the passenger of the vehicle she had previously overtaken.

The suspect dragged the victim from the vehicle by force and assaulted her. The offender then got back into a burgundy Suzuki Jimny and followed some distance behind the victim.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 50s, approximately between 5ft8 and 5ft9 in height, of a stocky build, with brown hair, ruddy complexion and he was wearing a grey shirt at the time.

West Mercia Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been within the area around the time of this attack, or anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident reference number 571S of August 23.
