CUSTOMERS of a garden centre have been asked to have a summer clear out and donate any unwanted items to St Richard’s Hospice.

Webbs Garden Centre, in Wychbold, is holding its annual Donate, Don’t Dump Day for the Worcestershire hospice on Thursday, September 10.

Customers are asked to come along to the store between 10am and 5pm with at least one good quality item which they no longer want or need.

They can put them in the collection area in the Webbs car park.

All donations will then be delivered to St Richard’s commercial department for sorting and selling in their charity shops.

St Richard’s Hospice commercial director Dan Corns said: “Webbs staff and customers have been long-standing supporters of our care for patients and families living with life-threatening illnesses.

"By donating pre-loved goods for us to sell in our shops they are making a very real impact on the care we can provide.”

Chairman Ed Webb said: “Our ‘Donate, Don't Dump Days' are very popular and are an easy way for people to support a fantastic local charity which helps so many people in our community.”
