A HUGE collection of film posters donated to a Sedgley sight loss charity will be auctioned off on Friday (May 6).

More than 500 posters that was given to the Beacon Centre by a well-wisher will be sold at a specialist collectors’ auction at Cuttlestones Auctioneers in Wolverhampton.

The posters have been split into almost 30 lots and feature a range of genres.

There are about 60 posters for children’s films including The Magic Roundabout and around 90 comedy or romance movies including Anchorman and Dodgeball as well as larger more general lots.

Several posters are also being auctioned off individually including an original 1956 Oklahoma movie poster which is expected to fetch between £30 and £50.

If all the items sell, the collection could raise more than £500 for the charity.
