IT might be May but people have not stopped lighting fires to warm their homes.
Fire services from south Shropshire were called to deal with two chimney fires in the space of just a few hours.
The most serious was at Bitterley near Ludlow when three appliances including an aerial ladder platform were called to deal with a chimney fire on Monday evening (Monday, May 2).
A few hours earlier a fire crew from Cleobury Mortimer were called to a chimney fire at New Road in the town.
