A POLICE car and forensics van were spotted outside the Crown and Anchor pub in Hylton Road, Worcester as officers investigated an alleged burglary last night.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police confirmed that police responded to reports of a 'burglary in progress' at 12.30am today at the pub which is closed to the public.
Three people - two males and a female - were arrested and are in custody at Worcester Police Station although they are not understood to have been held on suspicion of the burglary but on other matters.
When the Worcester News went to print the suspects were still being interviewed by police who were not able to release more details at this early stage of the investigation.
West Mercia Police is seeking information from the public as part of the investigation, particularly from people who were near the pub or in Hylton Road and Henwick Road at the time of the alleged burglary between midnight and 1am.
