A WOMAN has been released on bail after she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving when the car she was driving flipped on to its roof in Longbridge.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Bristol Road South, at the junction with Longbridge Lane, at 9.50pm on Wednesday, September 21.

Paramedics in one ambulance were sent to the scene, and arrived to find the car on its roof.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.

She was later arrested by West Midlands Police on suspicion of drink driving.

She remained in police custody on Thursday morning, but has since been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
