RUGBY union star Lewis Moody will be in Bromsgrove next Saturday to make sure a family fun day goes with a bang.

The former England World Cup winner, who also played for Leicester Tigers and Bath, will be helping out at Blackwell Adventure in Agmore Road on Saturday, November 5, while supporting families living with a brain tumour diagnosis.

Children and families attending the event which takes place between 10am until 4pm can try their hand at a range of exhilarating activities.

They include a 3G swing, tree trek giant zip wire and indoor climbing in addition to an array of arts and crafts.

Emma Percy, Children and Families Worker, said: "Receiving the news that a parent has a brain tumour is something no family should have to hear.

"Our Family Days aim to bring families together so that they know they aren’t alone.

"Children and parents alike will be able to meet with others who are going through similar experiences and enjoy a fun day out together.

"We are delighted to be running this family day in partnership with The Lewis Moody Foundation and look forward to welcoming families on the day."

Lewis Moody and his wife Annie will be taking part as the event is being run by the Brain Tumour Charity in partnership with the Lewis Moody Foundation.

The Foundation raises funds to promote awareness of brain tumours in children, funds vital research into brain tumours diagnosis and gives families living with critical illness days out.

The highlight of the event will be a rugby session run by Lewis Moody which visitors will be invited to take part in.
