BUDDING actors are busy putting the final touches to their production of a classic musical – The Little Shop of Horrors.

Youngsters at Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Youth Section have been rehearsing the show ready for two performances at Number 8 Community Arts Centre this Friday and Saturday night.

The musical is directed by the award-winning Paul James Turvey, who was recently named 'best director' by the Birmingham and District Theatre Guild for his production of Legally Blonde.

The rock-horror story takes place in 1960s New York, where a florist discovers an exotic plant with a thirst for blood.

The audience will be treated to well-known numbers, including Skid Row and Suddenly Seymour.

Performances will take place at 7pm on Friday, February 24, and at 1.30pm and 7pm on Saturday, February 25.
