KEEN Wyre Forest photographers are being reminded the deadline for a popular annual competition is coming up in a few weeks.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is running the contest with the aim of celebrating the beauty and diversity of the county with winning images chosen to feature in their 2018 calendar.

The closing date is Monday, April 10 and entry forms can be downloaded from www.worcswildlifetrust.co.uk/photography-competition

Photographs must have been taken in Worcestershire and the judges will be looking for striking images that engage the viewer with the wildlife or the spaces that wildlife calls home.

Trust staff, along with two experienced wildlife photographers Jason Curtis and Pete Walkden will judge the entries.

Wendy Carter, communications manager for the Trust, said: “We’re really looking forward to seeing what this year’s competition brings.

“We normally have more than 250 photos entered from at least 50 individuals and judging can be really tough.

“But it’s great to see that people are enjoying being out and about in our wonderful county and it’s lovely to see the variety of wildlife and wild places that inspire them.”

She added the calendar raises funds for the Trust’s conservation work as well as offering the opportunity for photographers to have their work showcased across Worcestershire.
