A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash with a lorry in Hartlebury this morning (March 22). 

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the crash on the Hartlebury Trading Estate shortly after 5.30am this morning (Wednesday, March 22).

Despite the efforts of the ambulance crew, the motorcyclist, named locally as Andy Jenkins, died at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The motorcyclist, a man, was in cardiac arrest and the team of ambulance staff and the doctor commenced advanced life support on scene.

"Sadly, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later."

An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene. 

Scores of readers took to the Shuttle Facebook page to pay tribute to Andy and send condolences to his family.
