HEALTHY living has always been part of Malvern’s appeal, from its days as a Victorian Spa town, and this weekend will be no exception.

Saturday will see the welcome return of Malvern Town Council’s Health and Wellbeing Fair at Rose Bank Gardens in the centre of the town.

From 11am to 5pm, the gardens off Wells Road will be playing host to a varied selection of Malvern’s fitness, alternative and complementary health and wellbeing, nutrition and beauty practitioners.

They will be offering free therapies, advice, and guidance covering a whole range of health-and-wellbeing-related topics.

Among the exhibitors are Great Malvern Yoga, Malvern Hills Acupuncture, Cecily’s Beauty and NHS Healthy Minds.

And with tai chi, zumba, shiatsu, meditation, nutritional advice, reiki and dowsing also on offer, there is definitely something for everybody.

Worcestershire Vegans and Veggies will be manning a healthy food stall, and Lizzy Hughes from Our Lizzy will be offering vegan cooking demonstrations.

The festival is just one element of a busy weekend which starts today with the well-dressing event and continues on Sunday with the donkey parade, before Bank Holiday Monday’s Big Splash event at Priory Park.

The festival is jointly organised by the town and district councils, Freedom Leisure and Malvern Spa Association.
