A CARE home called in Ludlow is celebrating success.

Hagley Place has passed a recent Care Quality Commission inspection with an overall “good” rating after being praised for a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led service.

As a reward, all the staff received a £100 gift voucher and a hand-written thank-you card from Barchester Healthcare who run the home..

The report stated: ‘People felt that staff were caring, kind and treated them with dignity and respect. People's views were listened to regarding their care. People felt they could make suggestions about their care at any time with the staff, the registered manager or the provider.’

Shann Thomas, general manager, said the target is to become outstanding.

“We are delighted to have achieved a ‘Good’ overall rating in the most recent inspection of Hagley Place Care Home and we are all driven to achieve an Outstanding rating next time by continuing to enhance the residential, nursing and dementia care services that we provide,” she said.

Hagley Place Care Home is one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme, reflecting the enhanced quality of dementia care and improved quality of life experienced by residents.
