SINGING superstars and rock n’ roll dancers stole the show during the final of Rubery’s Got Talent.

More than 200 spectators turned up to the Rubery Social Club on New Road on Saturday, August 13, as 22 singers, dancers, and musicians took to the stage.

The under-12s category was won by singer Olivia Hanks, who just pipped Issy Young to first place with her performance of Barbra Streisand’s hit song Don't Rain On My Parade.

Dancers Charlotte Gould and Amelia Hubbard won the under-17s category, while the over 17s group was won by singer Emily Badger for her performance of With You from the musical Ghost, with male singers Whichway finishing second.

Chairman Tony Maslen said: “Rubery’s Got Talent is now 10 years old and the talent just seems to get higher each year.”

All winners and runner ups will now perform at the Rubery Festival in St Chads Park on Sunday, September 3.
