Dunstable Town 1-1 Redditch United

Sloppy finishing ensured Redditch came away with just a solitary point against a Dunstable side struggling at the wrong end of the table.

And the visitors also had keeper Ethan Ross to thank for keeping them in the game at times, pulling off two excellent saves to deny Dunstable in the second half.

It was the home side who opened the scoring when Arel Amu turned the ball home midway through the first half.

Dunstable had conceded nine goals in their last two games and the Reds pegged them back on 37 minutes when an innocuous 25-yard shot from Lewis Wright bobbled past the keeper.

Chances had been limited before the break but things livened up in the second half with Ross twice called into action.

And the visitors also created plenty of opportunities at the other end only for their finishing to let them down. Leading scorer Dior Angus missed two glorious chances while Kevin Monteiro also missed a gilt-edged opening when it looked easier to score.

Reds: ROSS 8, Wright 6 (Apostolopoulos 46, 6), Fox 6, Mailancol 7, Stares 6 (Hussain 70, 6), Pendley 6, Monteiro 6 (Belmonte 80), Jackman 7, Angus 6, Thanoj 7, Weir-Daley 6. Subs (not used): Amenku, Simpson.
