STAFF at Dogs Trust Evesham are getting into the spirit of Halloween as they conjure up spooky names for two cackling canines in a bid to find them homes.

The adorable pups, Spook, an 11-month-old Collie cross and Spice a nine-month-old Beagle arrived at the rehoming centre after being found as strays. They are hoping to cast a spell on local dog lovers in a bid to find their special someone.

Dogs Trust Evesham rehoming centre manager, Chris Slight, said: "These dogs are absolutely adorable and it’s a real treat to be able to care for them. We are searching for spell-binding homes for them and we know it won’t be long before they are charming a new family.

"These gorgeous dogs haven’t had the best start in life, but are now hoping to find new owners who can give them the future they deserve.

"As the dogs are still fairly young, we are looking for owners who can be around most of the time to help them settle in, and who are willing to put in the time to train and socialise them, something they have lacked so far. They are full of beans, and so we are looking for active families who enjoy exercise."

The team say that when the dogs are older, they would benefit from a home that is able to invest time in activities such as agility to keep them stimulated and burn off their excess energy.
