COMMUNITY spirited solicitors helped raise almost £9,000 for a Kidderminster hospice following an annual campaign.

Make A Will week saw seven Wyre Forest solicitors team up with Kemp Hospice to raise vital funds for the charity.

The initiative saw solicitors give up their time and expertise for free to update or write wills for people in return for a donation to Kemp.

Over 60 Wyre Forest residents took part in Make A Will Week and the campaign has raising thousands for the hospice.

The firms who proudly supported Kemp were mfg Solicitors LLP, Norris and Miles Solicitors, Talbots Law, Painters Solicitors, Worcestershire Wills, Wright Solicitors incorporating Marion Evans and Thursfields Solicitors.

Cathy Sloan, Head of Fundraising at Kemp Hospice said, “We are constantly amazed and humbled by the generosity and support of people here in our community.

“There simply aren’t the words to describe how truly grateful we all are here at Kemp to every one of the solicitors that took part this year and to their incredibly generous clients.

“The total raised is simply astounding. That money helps Kemp to care for people right here in the Wyre Forest, people who are dealing with incredible challenges of life limiting illnesses and it will go such a long way in helping us to continue to support them and their loved ones.”

Make A Will Week has been an annual event in the Kemp Hospice calendar and in the last five years has generated almost £40,000 in donations including Gift Aid.
