FIREFIGHTERS are continuing to keep an eye on a wildfire that broke out on the Malvern Hills.
Almost 100 fire service personnel battled the blaze, near the West of England Quarry, in Malvern, after it started on Monday afternoon.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service station commander Thom Morgan said the fire was caused by a disposable barbecue.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Crews were on site again overnight monitoring the situation.
"Checks have been carried out throughout the day and hotspots contained and another inspection is due to be carried out at 4pm."
Around five acres of grass and shrubbery were burnt in the blaze.
