A MAN was rushed to hospital for trauma care after he was stabbed several times near his car in Bromsgrove.

The man, aged in his 20s, was leaving his vehicle in Breakback Road at around 5pm on Sunday, June 24 when he was approached by two men, exiting a black Audi.

The victim was found with several stab wounds, and an ambulance and air ambulance were rushed to the scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We treated a man in his 20s who had suffered multiple serious injuries.

"He was taken by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further trauma care."

Investigating officers at West Mercia Police are now following several lines of enquiry in order to identify those involved, and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

DC James Lees said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a black Audi in the Bromsgrove area on Sunday, June 24 at around 5pm.

"I would also urge anyone who knows who is responsible to please come forward. You can speak to the police directly or remain anonymous by contacting Crimestoppers."
