DONATIONS of bric-a-brac are needed for Blue Cross' annual Summer Fete and Fun Dog show.

The Catshill-based charity is seeking donations of good quality china, glass, toys and other household items that are no longer wanted

Items will be sold at the fete on Saturday, September 1, and help raise funds to help vulnerable pets.

Neil Edwards, manager at Blue Cross in Bromsgrove, said: "We are getting ready for our big Summer Event and hope our supporters and local animal lovers will help us make this year’s bric-a-brac stall our biggest yet.

"It's not just a great day out, but funds raised on the day really help us care for local homeless pets and find them loving new homes.”

Any items for donation to the event can be taken dropped into the centre on Wildmoor Lane.

Collections can also be arranged through the centre on 0300 777 1460, but the charity is unable to accept clothes, electrical or furniture items.

The charity receives no government funding and relies on the support of animal loves to continue its work.
