FAMILIES can enjoy all the fun of the fair in Brierley Hill next weekend.

The Brier Fair will return on Saturday, July 21 as part of the Black Country Festival celebrations.

Now in its second year, it will run from 9am to 5pm along the High Street, which will be closed to traffic from the junction with Talbot Street and the Moor Centre from 5am to 8pm.

There will be something for all the family to enjoy, including arts and crafts activities in the library, street entertainment, face painting, the Thomas Jones fun fair and a variety of market stalls.

A number of acts will also show Black Country Radio stage throughout the day.

At 10am, the 2156 Brierley Hill Squadron band will perform a number of military songs, followed by the Rock Choir at 11am and Bounce Back Choir at noon.

Throughout the afternoon, crowds can enjoy performances from The Daisies, Star Time Variety, Dynamix and Lucas Burns Dance Academy.

Councillor Alan Taylor, the Mayor of Dudley, said: “The Brier Fair was a big hit last year with thousands turning out to enjoy the day and this year promises to be no different as we’ve got a top line up of entertainment planned.

“This is a day when local people can come together, have fun and celebrate all that’s great about the Black Country.”
