A NEW class is starting in Bromsgrove next week to help participants with their balance, posture, strength and flexibility.

The hour-long weekly sessions will be held at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre in Stratford Road, starting on Wednesday, September 12 at 12pm.

During the classes, a level four qualified instructor will guide members through various exercises designed to help with strength and balance.

Visitors will be taught how to get up from the floor should they fall, and learn how to increase their mobility and flexibility. Classes finish with relaxation and stretching.

Hayley Gwilliam, health intervention officer at Bromsgrove District Council, said: “It is great to see people’s confidence grow week on week.

"They stop looking down when walking and their stride length increases so I am pleased we could start this new class for even more residents.

"Everyone is welcome to come try the classes and if this one is not suitable then I am sure we can find something that is, as the council has quite a range of classes for all abilities.”

Each class costs £3. Interested parties can contact Hayley on 01527 881404 for more information or to book.
