A JEWELLERY shop in Bromsgrove will be selling a nine-carat diamond ring to the highest bidder to raise money for charity.

The white gold half eternity ring was donated to Cupitt Jeweller by one of its customers to help raise cash for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Amy Franklin, store manager of Cupitt Jeweller, which is based in The Strand, said: "Thanks to the generosity of one of our customers we are hoping to raise a nice amount for the charity.

"We’ve never done anything like this before but we are hoping for plenty of bids.”

The preloved ring has round brilliant and baguette diamonds in a bar setting. It is currently on display in the shop's window.

Bids for this silent auction can be placed in person at the shop or via Facebook messenger.

Bidding closes at 5pm on Saturday, September 29 and the winner will be notified on October 2.
