WARLEY Male Choir – who are looking to recruit a new pianist – will be performing in a special charity concert at Halesowen’s Carters Lane Baptist Church next month.
The long-established choir will be supported by the Decoys, who will sing some well-known popular songs, during the concert on Sunday March 3.
Tickets, costing £6 for adults and free for under 16s, are available by calling 0121 550 4678, or can be bought on the door.
Profits from the evening – which starts at 7pm – will go to a charity nominated by the choir and to the church’s ‘Building Futures in Malawi’ project.
The choir is searching for an accomplished pianist due to large changes within their music team.
A spokesman for Warley Male Choir said: “The person we are looking for must be able to accompany a choir of up to 35 voices and preferably have a good knowledge of choral music.
“We are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year, so would be an exciting time to join an ever-increasing popular choir.”
Anyone interested in becoming the choir’s new pianist – with a negotiable fee offered to the most suitable applicants – should call Ron Sweetland on 0121 552 4113.
