TWO teenagers have appeared in court after a Dudley taxi driver was stabbed.

Tyreece Clarke, aged 18, of Newhall Street in West Bromwich, and a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding the driver in Oldbury on Thursday (April 12), with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

The driver, who is in his 20s, received several serious injuries according to a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman and was taken to hospital on blue lights.

He is now recovering at home.

Clarke and the 16-year-old youth have also been charged with four counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a bladed article and one count of possession of imitation firearm.

They both appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court on Monday (April 16) and have been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on May 15.
