A CHARITY which helps the most vulnerable families across Redditch welcomed a visit from the town's MP.

Rachel Maclean visited Home Start North East Worcestershire on Friday, June 29.

Every year the charity, based on Easemore Road, helps hundreds of families by reducing family isolation, strengthening parent-child relationships, improving parents’ physical health and emotional well-being and increasing access to health, education and community services.

The dedicated staff also support parents in Redditch through home visiting, family and specialist groups and through social events.

And Rachel got to see the charity’s work in action during her visit last Friday, chatting to mums about the help and support they receive.

She said: “The help and support Home-Start provides families with in Redditch is absolutely vital and that was clear to see during my visit last Friday.

“It was great to be able to chat with the mums at the support group and to hear first-hand how Home-Start has helped them and their families.

“As the town’s MP I will do everything I can to support Home-Start’s work as it is an essential service for families in Redditch.”
