THE ever-popular Green Fair and Lions Fun Day will be returning to Arrow Valley Countryside Park this weekend.

The event, on Sunday, July 8 from 11am until 4.30pm, includes live music, pony rides, face painting, children’s activities, a smoothie bike, craft and community stalls and more.

There will also be demonstrations from West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and a classic car and motorbike display.

Redditch Borough Council is once again teaming up with Redditch Lions to hold the event.

Councillor Matthew Dormer, leader of Redditch Council, said: “Year on year the Green Fair gets bigger and better and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for some excellent weather to go with it.

"There’s something for everyone to get involved in for a fun, family day out.”

Dave Beech, from Redditch Lions, added: “There’s going to be so much to do, you best get there early so you can enjoy it all.”

There is free admission and car parking at the event as well as a raffle with prizes.
