ENGLAND stand just one game away from their first World Cup final since 1966.

The team is preparing to meet Croatia in the last four of the tournament later tonight, with Croatia hoping to reach the final for the first time and England hoping to end a 52-year wait to return.

This will be the eighth meeting between the two sides, with England winning four, Croatia twice and one draw.

Supporters now believe football could genuinely be coming home, hopeful this young English team can match the achievements of Sir Alf Ramsey's immortal 1966 side.

Excited fans gripped by football fever are now gearing up for England’s biggest match for more than two decades, with the catching excitement helping boost the economy through sales of beer, barbecues, replica shirts, and even Southgate-inspired waistcoats.

The nation, as well as Redditch, has reached a state of feverish excitement with thousands expected to leave work early and rush home to get a prime viewing spot to watch tonight's game.

Let us know where you are watching in the comments and please send us your photos celebrating, fingers crossed, an England victory.
