THE Mayor of Redditch is inviting residents to join her for a cuppa and a piece of cake to help those facing cancer.
Councillor Juliet Brunner is holding a MacMillan Coffee Morning at the Town Hall on Friday, September 28
She said: “So many people’s lives are touched by this terrible disease and this charity is particularly close to my own heart.
“I hope as many people as possible join me for a cuppa and some cake so we can support this charity and the amazing work they do.”
The Mayor’s Macmillan Coffee Morning will run from 10am to noon and everyone is welcome.
The first ever coffee morning for the charity happened in 1990.
Since then, the coffee mornings have raised more than £200 million for Macmillan.
It is easy to host your own event, just visit coffee.macmillan.org.uk to sign up.
