FOLLOWING the success of last year’s event, for the first time West Midland Safari Park will be holding its annual Firework Festival for two days.

The Firework Festival will be held over the weekend of Saturday November 8 and Sunday November 9.

This year, the theme for the festival is love and therefore the firework displays, which last for almost 20 minutes, will be accompanied by some of the very best powerful love songs.

The bonfires that are lit for each event, take park staff a week to build and have a footprint of 108 square metres and tower skywards some eight metres.

The Discovery Trail exhibits will also be open, featuring Twilight Cave, Creepy Crawlies, Mark O’Shea’s Reptile World, Seaquarium, a Sea Lion Show and a range of refreshments including a hog roast, as well as bar and disco in Treetops Pavillion.

Whilst the Festival on Saturday will be the traditional ‘must see’ event for many of those who have visited the park before, the Sunday event will be very much more geared to the family with the timings brought one hour forward.

On the day of the Firework Festivals, the animal reserves will be completely closed.
