A PHOTOGRAPHER is putting on a special half-term event to raise funds for a campaign which will put ‘Studley on the Map’.

Studley snapper Laurence Jones, of KidsNaturally Photography, will hold a photoshoot for children on Tuesday, February 20, at Coughton Court.

The normal price of £475 has been reduced to £300, with half of all proceeds pledged to ‘Studley on the Map’ – a project which aims to enhance and improve Studley.

Mr Jones said: “I have been searching for a way to contribute to the Studley on the Map Campaign for a little while and I decided to offer my photography skills in return for pledges from the community.

“This photoshoot feels like a great way to raise some money for Studley whilst giving local families something to treasure.

“Hopefully we can raise lots of money and help the project to hit its target in time!”

Almost £22,000 of the £36,000 target by March 1 has been raised so far, but if the target is not met then the project will not go ahead and all pledges will be returned or donated.

Studley on the Map spokesperson Siân Smith said: “We are very grateful to Laurence for offering his time and skills to Studley on the Map.

“We are sure that local families will jump at the opportunity to get a beautiful keepsake for their family – or a perfect Mothers’ Day gift!”

Families will be able to choose 10 fully edited images from their photoshoot which will be presented in print-ready digital form ready to share and print, as well as 10 professionally printed 10x8” prints of their chosen images.

Funds towards the Studley on the Map project will pay for a new website and new signage and information boards to highlight local shops, restaurants, events, walking trails and attractions.
