THIS is Robbie, a lovely 18-month-old red tan and black mastiff-cross in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch, through no fault of his own.

He is a gorgeous handsome big boy, in beautiful condition, and is really sweet, calm, placid and obedient.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Robbie travels well. He is fine with other dogs and fairly good on the lead for a youngster.

"He knows sit and is interested in treats, but doesn’t eat them.

"Robbie loves everyone and enjoys company, hugs and cuddles - the more the better!

"He is such a beautiful boy, someone is going to have a wonderful friend."

Robbie is chipped, vaccinated and will be neutered shortly.

Please ring Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information about Robbie or other dogs looking for their forever homes.

There is currently a part-time vacancy for an Animal Care Assistant for 24 hours a week at the new centre to care for the rescued cats, kittens and shortly rabbits.

The charity is looking for a devoted animal lover with knowledge and experience in animal behaviour and husbandry.

Mrs Haynes said: "It is a great opportunity to be part of this exciting new project, which will grow as funding allows and help those animals most in need."
