World Book Day 6th March
To promote World Book Day and to encourage other young readers to pick up a book, our Early Years Foundation Unit has produced a wonderful display of work at Stourport Library.
Their art work is based on the books The Rainbow Fish', Handa's Surprise' and Elmer Elephant'. Do go along if you can to look at their work.
Pirates Ahoy!
To celebrate World Book Day Burlish Park Primary School became a galley full of fantastic and fearsome pirates.
Pupils from Nursery up to Year Six made pirate biscuits, treasure maps and Wanted for Piracy' posters, sang pirate songs and hunted for clues on a treasure trail. Great fun was had by all!
This is what some of our pupils said: "It was good to do something different. No lessons! Yeah!
"We are working but don't realise it".
"I loved it today but it was a bit embarrassing walking to school".
