IT was all smiles for staff at a Kidderminster school when they received an outstanding report from Ofsted inspectors.
The workers at St Ambrose Pre School were "ecstatic" with last year's glowing report, which praised them for the quality and standards of their care and education.
The school was also praised by Ofsted - the official body for inspecting and regulating schools - for its partnership with parents and staff.
The report said the children's "excellent" progress was down to the parents and staff working together.
Sharon Kennedy, 43, manager of the pre-school, said: "It's a wonderful compliment for us all because we have put a lot of hard work and enthusiasm into the school.
"We are ecstatic about getting an outstanding report, as it's very hard to get.
"It's great to think that all the hard work we put in has been recognised and it's good to know that we are doing as well as we think we are."
She added: "The staff are very experienced and we have all worked here for a minimum of 10 years.
"I think we are outstanding because we're always trying to be our best and looking at ways to improve.
"Our ethos is to look after the children and make sure we have a rapport with the parents so they know that we are friendly and enjoy what we do.
"We have got fantastic children and we really care about them."
The school is a registered charity and all the money it makes is put towards new equipment for the children.
