How to save a life

3:42pm Thursday 7th February 2008

PUPILS at Wyre Forest schools have been taught life-saving skills by two charities.

Youngsters from Stourport High School and King Charles I School, in Kidderminster, took part in the project, organised by the Community Service Volunteer Action Dare to Care Campaign and Heartstart.

The Heartstart charity, which has been running for 20 years, teaches people how to react when someone collapses with a heart attack or other medical emergencies.

Vince Williams, chairman, said: "It's a way of teaching everybody, in this case youngsters, to have the confidence and ability to provide lifesaving skills in an emergency."
