CLUCKING chickens and mooing cows were the topic for a group of nursery tots learning about farm animal sounds.
Youngsters from Lickhill Nursery, in Stourport, pulled on their wellies and zipped up their winter warmers for a trip to nearby Lickhill Livery.
The children had a tour around the farm, spotting the different animals, including chickens, cows and horses and listening to the noises they make.
Sixteen tots between three and four had an introduction to farmlife, finding out where eggs come from, touring the stables, squelching in the mud and looking at a working tractor.
Mrs Oriel Pucker, nursery manager, said: "They really enjoyed it, seeing the animals out in the fields.
"They did have good fun going in the mud with their wellies as well."
The youngsters followed up their visit by listening to recordings of the farm animals' sounds back in nursery.
