Rapping robots

A STATE-of-the-art rapping robot visited Burlish Park Primary School to teach the children about recycling.

Recycler the robot used rap to promote the three Rs - reduce, reuse and recycle - and gave examples of how the measures could be put into practice at home and school.

Shirley Barre, education officer of environmental group, Waste Watch, said: "Recycler raps to the children all about recycling and what they can do to help.

"The children quickly pick it up and join in - it's a great way to remember important messages and take them home."

Joel Morris, 8, said: "I loved the rap song that Recycler robot taught us, as it will help me remember to reduce, reuse and recycle . We had great fun, as well as learning lots of things."

The robot toured primary schools in Wyre Forest as part of a national campaign run by WRAP and Waste Watch, in partnership with Wyre Forest District Council.
