Throughout the term, many Primary School children have taken part in Relaunch festivals organised by the School Sport Co-ordinators.
Relaunch festivals are aimed at giving children a taste of a range of new activities they may never have experienced.
The Stourport Family held their Relaunch festival at Stourport High School on 2nd November, with children from Hartlebury Primary, Burlish Park Primary, St Bartholomew's Primary and Stourport Primary all taking part.
The Wolverley and Habberley Families held their Relaunch festival on12th October, at St John's Primary, with children from St John's, Franche, Foley Park, Sutton Park, Birchen Coppice, St Oswald's, St Catherine's, Cookley Sebright and Wolverley Sebright attending. 50 KS2 children took part in the morning , rotating around 4 activities: Tri-Golf, SAQ, Skipping games and Scooter Boards. 36 KS1 children were given the opportunity to have a go' in the afternoon, experiencing multi-skills, yoga and Jumping Jaxx activities.
The Bewdley Relaunch Festival, held at Bewdley Leisure Centre, was attended by all four Primary Schools in the family. Each school brought a team of girls and boys to the festival, taking part in fast and furious games of Dodgeball!
Thank you to all the SSCOs who organised and ran the events, as well as Corinna Lewis, Gill Frame and Dale Evans from Sports Development for helping out! All the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
