Partnership Day

Friday 18th January saw representatives from all schools in the Wyre Forest School Sports Partnership attend the second Partnership Day of the academic year.

The day focused on standards, leveling and monitoring of teaching PE and children's performance in PE. Led by Colette Maynard, PE Advisor for the LA, and Nick Price, Active Schools Manager, the PLTs and PESSCOs were split into two groups depending on their teaching and PE experience.

Both groups were then given the opportunity to observe lessons and children performing in gymnastics. After watching video clips, teachers were given the opportunity to judge the lessons against OFSTED criteria and level the children's performance against NC level descriptors and level descriptors devised by the LA.

The day was a great success and many teachers said that they now feel much more confident in leveling PE work and monitoring their subject.
