THE Macmillan ‘Betty Bus’ is making its way to Stourport to raise awareness of cancer.

The Macmillan mobile team will be bringing their information bus to the Severn Meadows car park, behind the Civic Hall, on Tuesday, September 5, between 10am and 4pm.

In support, the volunteers at the Civic Hall will be holding their Macmillan Big Coffee Morning on the same day.

Caroline Caldwell, hall manager, said: “It is a fantastic opportunity having the Macmillan Bus with us in the town and by linking in with the staff who provided information on cancer and the wonderful work Macmillan nurses do.

"We can also raise the much-needed monies to continue their work.”

The Civic Hall will be open from 10am, with cakes and coffee on sale, and various fundraising activities.
