KIND dancers from Stourport and Far Forest will be looking to tap their way into the record books this weekend while raising money for Children In Need.

Zennor’s Dance and Musical Theatre Academy will host its fourth Tapathon in aid of the BBC charity on Sunday, November 19.

But as well as raising much needed funds, the Academy – which holds classes in Stourport and Far Forest – will join dance schools from across the country to perform a recorded tap dance routine on the same day at the same time.

The record currently stands at 7,500 people and the nation fell agonisingly short last year by just 112 people.

On November 19, the dancers will be tapping to the tune of Stevie Wonder and Arianna Grande’s hit “Faith”

To aid their fundraising efforts, a JustGiving page has been set up that can be accessed via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/zennorsdanceacademy

Academy principal and owner Zennor McGuire has been busy encouraging more people of all ages and abilities to join in and help them set a new world record.

She has also been busy putting the dancers through their paces through regular weekly rehearsals in both Stourport and Far Forest during the past few months.

People can contact Zennor McGuire if they'd live to take part or get any further information by calling 01299 266 814 or 07759097550 or via email on zennoruk@aol.com
