A STOURPORT opticians is hoping to raise vital funds for a charity by hosting a spec-tacular Christmas raffle.

The team at the High Street store have more than 20 prizes to be won in the raffle - which will raise funds for Mentor Link.

Prizes include eight bottles of wine, a bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of champagne, donated by local financial advisor, Neil Barton.

Other local businesses have contributed Christmas goodies including a china dish full of toiletries, make-up, ornaments, and a box of Celebrations and Quality Street.

Tickets for the raffle are available in store for a donation of £1, until Saturday, December 16, when the winners will be drawn.

Stourport-based Mentor Link support vulnerable and distressed children through providing adult volunteer mentors.

Store director, Tim Reeves, said: "Christmas is a time of year for us to think about the children and young people who are struggling at home.

"We are delighted to fund the remarkable work of Mentor Link in their mission to support vulnerable children.

"We would like to thank all the local businesses who have supported us and our generous customers who have bought tickets already.

"We have some great prizes for our Christmas raffle, so please pop into the store and help us to make this our biggest fundraiser of the year."
