AN opticians is ensuring the community will be seen this winter by handing out free high visibility vests to a Stourport school and nursery.
Ahead of Road Safety Week, Specsavers in Stourport donated vests to help ensure younger members of the community from Burlish Park Primary School and Tiny Toez nursery are seen and safe when out and about during the winter months.
Tim Reeves, store director, said: "We are committed to helping local children stay safer on the streets - anything that helps educated young people about road safety or to make them more visible, especially to drivers, is invaluable.
"Now that the days are shorter, it is even more important that people can be seen clearly. Whether that's children on the walk to and from school or those out running or riding bikes, the vests will hopefully come in useful."
