Potent Harriers urged to build on six-y football

| Wants more: Mark Yates. |
HARRIERS manager Mark Yates has urged his resurgent side to keep their goal-laden form going until the end of the season, after watching them defeat Halifax 6-1 in Yorkshire on Tuesday night (read report) .
The in-form team stretched their unbeaten run in the Blue Square Premier to six games and made it three away wins in a row with an impressive performance at the Shay Stadium.
Victory was enough to draw them level with last season's final points tally, 63, with four games to go.
With many of the squad out of contract at the end of the season, the team's impressive run of form is also helping Yates decide who he would like to keep at the club.
"We have 63 points, which is what we finished on last season, and we now want to end on a high," said the manager.
"We want to keep as many of our better players here as we can for next season and build on this good run of form.
"We know we have underachieved but we have four big games left and want to finish strongly."
Midfielder Russ Penn was the star for Harriers on Tuesday, hitting four goals to sink relegation battling Halifax.
"Russ is into double figures now and he got his reward for the first ten minutes when he was everywhere," added Yates.
"The energy and talent the boy's got is fantastic and I'm delighted for him."
Harriers will be hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to seven games when they entertain Histon at Aggborough on Saturday (3pm kick-off) in the league.
