STOURPORT school children had a magical surprise visit this week when their favourite characters from Disney’s hit film Frozen stopped by.

Pupils in the early years at Burlish Park Primary School were greeted by Elsa and Olaf on Friday morning as part of their latest school topic.

The children, as well as the characters from the film that took the world by storm last year, participated in different Frozen related activities throughout the day.

Rachel Holland, reception teacher, said: “In line with our early years ethos of child-led learning, this topic was chosen by the children to link in with our winter season theme.

“They were thrilled and totally enthused, not only by the day but by the follow up work we have introduced.

“We made Frozen ice castle dens and masks for our role play area, as well as Olaf snowman biscuits, designed dresses for Elsa and scarves for Olaf.

“This child led topic has also encouraged the children to produce independent writing in a fun and inspiring way.

“We are now hoping for a little bit of real snow to end our topic in a truly magical Frozen way.”
