STUDENTS at King Charles I School are looking forward to university after many received the A level results they were hoping for.
Of the 87 candidates who took the A Level exams, 98 per cent passed and some scooped the new A* grade.
Headteacher, Tim Gulliver, said: “I am very pleased. Our results are consistent. I am also very proud of a student from Poland who had limited English, so we were unsure as to how he would fare in his geography exam. We are pleased to say he passed with an E grade.”
Rebecca Sutton achieved an A* in English and A grades in art and geography and is going to Leeds University to study English literature and language.
Simon Cooper picked up an A* in both maths and physics and As in further maths and systems and control. He will study integrated mechanical and electrical engineering at Bath University.
Emily Barnett achieved straight As in maths, biology and further maths. She is off to Birmingham University to study natural sciences.
